Brutal arena-based boomer shooter game
Devilated is a premium action game for PC from developer Trunka. It is a first-person boomer shooter featuring RPG elements for its gameplay and supernatural themes. In it, players will navigate a mysterious and dangerous labyrinth and fight against hordes of ferocious monsters in bloody mayhem.
Much like Postal: Brain Damaged or Project Warlock, Devilated combines retro aesthetics with unrelenting over-the-top action that will have players on the edge of their seats from start to finish. The whole experience is complemented by an original metal soundtrack that will have them blast away to the beat of the music.
Monsters and the like
As its name suggests, Devilated is a first-person shooter featuring demonic supernatural themes. In it, you find yourself transported to a mysterious realm that can only be described as hell itself. A horde of bloodthirsty monsters and demons are coming to devour your flesh. Little do they know, you are not one to shy away from brutality and gore to defend yourself.
Go through 30 labyrinthian levels with all kinds of monsters at every turn as you blast your way through and face the final boss on each one. The combat lets you use enemies as shields or sources of health by devouring them. You can even slow down time to line up a perfect shot. Build up your combo meter by keeping the kill count going for higher scores.
Choose from over 100 weapons and a unique set of abilities like bullet time, dual-wielding, and sword skills to come up with your unique playstyle. Devilated also features an RPG-like inventory rotary item system while fighting. Visit the shop to stock up on consumables and purchase better gear. Unfortunately, all the action can get in the way of playing and can be visually overwhelming.
Devilishly brutal
Simply put, Devilated is not for the faint of heart with its brutal gameplay and plenty of violence and gore in full spectacle. However, if you're a fan of boomer shooters, this will be right up your alley, from the action that never lets up to the various weapons and skills that let you slay monsters in all kinds of ways. This gets an easy recommendation and a must-play.
